The purpose of the YWCA Niagara event Think Big, Look Back is to raise awareness on gender-based violence. There will be a guest speaker in the first part of the event discussing this issue. Afterwards, food will be offered and there will be an activity facilitated by the youth council who will get people participating involved in preparing together messages of hope with an item to hand out to people while walking through town or at the mall, as a pay it forward movement, with the idea that anyone can be living in an abusive situation. Lastly, there will be a workshop on self-defence/boxing to empower and build confidence.

Le programme De Grandes Idées! Jeunesse en Action!  organisé par la YWCA à Niagara, a pour objectif de sensibiliser le public à la violence genrée. Lors de la première partie de l’événement, une conférencière présentera cette question. Ensuite, des repas seront offerts et une activité sera organisée par le conseil jeunesse qui impliquera les personnes dans la préparation de messages d’espoir avec un article à distribuer aux personnes qui se promènent dans la ville ou au centre commercial. un mouvement en avant, avec l’idée que tout le monde peut vivre dans une situation de violence. Enfin, un atelier sur l’autodéfense / la boxe sera organisé pour renforcer la confiance en soi.
